Job Description
You will be part of Group Financial Reporting / ECL team, focusing on financial reporting and analysis of UOB's overseas branches and subsidiaries of UOB Bank.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Prepare and ensure timely submission of various financial reporting schedules and business review materials (e.g. management presentations).
- Analyse variances for Expected Credit Loss (ECL) and partner closely with Modelers, Business Finance, Overseas Finance and Credit teams etc, to derive insights.
- Support for ECL governance committee and respond to queries from stakeholders including Group Finance, senior management, external auditors etc
- Collaborate with FIM and GMET to resolve ECL system issues, with a focus on enhancing transparency, data integrity and process efficiency of ECL engines.
- Provide guidance to overseas finance teams on accounting policies and support for Group month-end closing activities.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS 9, internal ECL guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Support ad-hoc analysis, projects and process improvement initiative.
Work Experience
- Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail
- Demonstrate strong control and governance mindset
- Effective communication skills- both writtenand verbal, with the ability to engage stakeholders across functions
- Self-driven and disciplined, with theability to manage competing priorities and meet tight timeline
- Strong financial accounting background with good commercial and business acumen
- Working knowledge of relevant systems and tools, including SAP,CFR, OBIEE and Power BI
- Accounting or Finance
