Responsibilities
- Lead, manage and supervise a sub-team of Treasury Specialists covering assigned districts or clusters, with accountability for revenue delivery, sales productivity, compliance discipline and people development. Maintaining an efficient resource allocation within the team
- Drive the achievement of treasury revenue targets across FX/FXD, fixed income and various PI / Non-PI structured products through effective sales management, pipeline tracking and close partnership with RMs, branch managers and district heads.
- Provide day-to-day coaching, guidance and performance management to Treasury Specialists to enhance product knowledge, advisory quality, client engagement effectiveness and execution standards.
- Deliver timely market views, trade ideas and tactical product positioning to support frontline client conversations, deepen client engagement and smoothen execution quality.
- Oversee the execution of treasury transactions, including FX, structured products and fixed income, ensuring transactions are handled efficiently, accurately and in accordance with the Bank's internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Handle escalated client cases and complex transaction enquiries, providing guidance to team members and ensuring appropriate escalation where required.
- Safeguard the highest standards of compliance, suitability, risk control and conduct across the team, including adherence to SFC, HKMA, AML and internal governance requirements.
- Work closely with Product, Process Governance, Investment Advisory, Branch Network, Risk, Compliance, Operations and other stakeholders to support business initiatives, product launches, process enhancement and platform efficiency.
- Partner with district and branch management to identify business opportunities, improve RM and TS collaboration, and strengthen client penetration across the assigned coverage.
- Support the Treasury Specialist Team Head in setting and implementing business priorities, sales initiatives, team development plans and control standards.
- Delivery of treasury revenue against assigned team targets.
- Growth in active client base, product penetration and client engagement.
- Strong RM and branch partnership, with improved referral conversion and execution quality.
- High compliance standards with satisfactory audit, risk and regulatory outcomes.
- Effective people management, staff retention and competency development within the TS team.
- Timely execution of business initiatives, product campaigns and platform/process improvements.
- Minimum 6-8 years of relevant experience in treasury markets, wealth management, investment advisory or financial institutions.
- Proven experience in leading or coaching a sales/advisory team is preferred.
- Strong frontline sales experience with affluent, retail or wealth management clients will be an advantage.
- Solid experience across FX, structured products, fixed income and/or other treasury-related investment products.
- University degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Statistics or a related discipline.
- Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
- Proficiency in data analytics tools and AI-enabled applications will be an advantage.
- Relevant regulatory licenses required for the role, including RI license where applicable.
