Senior Finance Manager, 6-month FTC. NZ-focused with strong business partnering, projects and P&L ownership. The Opportunity
An established, project-driven organisation is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to support its New Zealand operations. This role operates at a highly commercial level, partnering closely with senior executives and operational leaders.
There is strong potential for this role to be extended or to convert to a permanent position for a high-performing individual.
Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary finance partner to senior operational and executive stakeholders
• Own financial performance across multiple P&Ls
• Deliver insightful analysis, forecasting, and commentary
• Lead month-end close activities and financial reporting
• Provide oversight of project accounting, including spend vs. budget analysis
• Support shareholder and executive-level reporting
• Translate complex financial data into clear commercial insights
• Partner closely with geographically dispersed leadership teams

About You

• Proven experience as a Senior Finance Manager / Finance Business Partner
• Strong commercial acumen with hands-on financial capability
• Advanced Excel skills
• Confident communicator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
• Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
• Background in project-based or asset-intensive environments preferred.
