My client is a leading global investment management firm with a substantial international presence and a sophisticated systematic investment business. As the firm continues to expand its quantitative platform across APAC, they are looking for an experienced Business Analyst / Senior Business Analyst to play a key role in supporting that growth.

This is not a traditional Business Analyst position . It is a broad, front-office-facing role sitting at the intersection of Investment, Technology, Data, Trading and Operations , working directly with systematic Portfolio Managers, Quant Researchers and Traders.

The Role

You will act as a key operating partner to the APAC systematic investment teams, taking ownership of initiatives and problems spanning the full investment and research lifecycle.

Responsibilities will include:

1. Partnering directly with Systematic PMs, Quant Researchers and Traders , helping resolve complex technology, data, execution and operational challenges.
2. Leading the end-to-end onboarding of new PMs, researchers and investment strategies , ensuring readiness across data, research environments, infrastructure, trading workflows and risk controls.
3. Driving cross-functional projects from requirements gathering and scoping through to implementation, including initiatives across research platforms, market access, trading infrastructure, data and automation .
4. Working closely with Technology and Data teams to translate investment and trading requirements into clear functional and technical specifications.
5. Supporting the onboarding and adoption of market and alternative data , including vendors, licensing, entitlements, data quality and production readiness.
6. Identifying recurring pain points across the investment platform and driving longer-term improvements rather than simply resolving individual issues.
7. Coordinating across teams globally while representing the specific requirements of the APAC systematic business.

What They Are Looking For

Ideally, you will have:

1. 7+ years' relevant experience across Business Analysis, Project/Program Management, front-office support, data enablement or a related financial technology function.
2. Experience within a hedge fund, systematic asset manager, quantitative trading firm, broker-dealer, market maker, exchange or similarly sophisticated trading environment .
3. Strong understanding of the systematic investment lifecycle, ideally spanning areas such as quantitative research, market/alternative data, portfolio construction, execution and risk .
4. Experience working directly with demanding front-office investment or trading stakeholders .
5. Good understanding of electronic trading workflows and the technology/operational processes surrounding them.
6. Strong project ownership and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to coordinate complex initiatives involving multiple technical and business teams.
7. Technical fluency; Excel and Python are particularly relevant, with exposure to AWS, Git, Airflow, databases, data pipelines, Jira/Confluence or monitoring tooling advantageous.
8. Excellent communication skills and the ability to operate independently in a fast-moving, high-accountability environment.
