Description
Join us as a Private Markets Specialist- You'll support the research, evaluation, and monitoring of private market investments, helping deliver high-quality investment solutions for clients
- You'll play a role in the growth of the Investment Products & Solutions (IP&S) platform, supporting product development, manager selection, and client engagement activities
- Develop your investment expertise while gaining exposure to a broad range of stakeholders across a growing and dynamic area of the business
- You will work from home some of the time but be expected to be in the London office two to three days per week
What you'll do
As our Private Markets Specialist, you'll provide analytical and operational support to the Private Markets team within IP&S. You'll help design and implement private market investment solutions that align with client needs, commercial objectives, and regulatory requirements.
You'll also support the onboarding and operational setup of new private market investments, while contributing to the evaluation of private market funds and co-investment opportunities. Collaborating with colleagues across the business, you'll help bring new products to market and enhance existing offerings through high-quality analysis, data management and operational support.
Your work will focus on:
- Assisting with the preparation of investment due diligence reports and performance summaries
- Maintaining portfolio data, including capital calls, distributions, and valuations
- Tracking key performance indicators and preparing regular reporting and management information packs
- Supporting the preparation of materials for client meetings, investment committees, and internal briefings
- Responding to internal queries relating to private market investments, products, and data
- Monitoring market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes relevant to private markets
- Contributing to research activities and knowledge-sharing initiatives across the team
The skills you'll need
To thrive in this role, you'll bring proven experience in investment management, financial services, or a related analytical environment. You'll bring analytical and numerical skills, excellent attention to detail, and a good understanding of private markets and alternative investments. Progress toward CFA, CAIA, or other relevant qualifications will be advantageous.
We'll expect you to have:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data management tools used for investment analysis and reporting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills when working with colleagues, clients and stakeholders
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
