Description
IES Safety, LLC is seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to manage client accounts and projects throughout the Louisville metropolitan area and Southern Indiana.
This position is responsible for the cradle-to-grave management of client projects, including occupational safety and health, industrial hygiene, emergency response, rescue, training, and related technical services. The Portfolio Manager serves as the primary operational point of contact for assigned clients and is responsible for ensuring projects are properly scoped, staffed, mobilized, managed, documented, billed, and successfully completed.
The successful candidate must be comfortable managing multiple clients and projects while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, client satisfaction, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage assigned client accounts and projects from initial request through final closeout, serving as the primary operational contact for clients throughout Louisville Metro and Southern Indiana.
- Oversee safety, industrial hygiene, emergency response, rescue, and training projects, including scoping, estimating, staffing, scheduling, mobilization, execution, documentation, and invoicing support.
- Coordinate personnel, technical specialists, equipment, vehicles, PPE, travel, and other resources necessary for successful project delivery.
- Monitor project staffing, labor, expenses, billing, scope, schedules, quality, and profitability, resolving operational or client-service issues as they arise.
- Maintain regular communication with clients and field personnel, including conducting site visits and ensuring projects meet client expectations and company standards.
- Forecast upcoming client needs, including outages, shutdowns, construction activities, training, and other anticipated projects to support effective staffing and resource planning.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, identify opportunities for additional IES Safety services, and support client retention and portfolio growth.
- Provide management with timely information regarding project status, forecasts, staffing requirements, financial performance, and significant client or operational issues.
Requirements
A bachelor's degree in occupational safety and health, environmental health and safety, industrial hygiene, emergency management, fire protection, business, project management, or a related discipline is preferred. An equivalent combination of education, professional training, certifications, and relevant experience may be considered. Prefer candidate to be board certified as a Safety Professional (CSP®) or Industrial Hygienist (CIH®).
Candidates should possess strong project management, organizational, communication, client-service, and problem-solving skills. The position requires the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects, personnel, schedules, client expectations, and financial responsibilities.
A valid driver's license and the ability to regularly travel to client facilities throughout the assigned territory are required.
