Who we are looking for
We are seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager (f/m/d) to provide parental leave cover within our European and Sustainable Credit team.
The focus of the role is on ensuring continuity and reliability of all portfolio management activities - portfolio construction, monitoring, trade execution, and close cooperation with our credit analysts.
What you will do
- Generate and implement investment ideas across primary and secondary markets (EM, DM, IG, HY)
- Conduct portfolio construction and ongoing monitoring (risk, positioning, guidelines)
- Engage in daily interaction with the credit analysts' team; validate investment rationales across funds
- Participate actively in issuer and sector reviews
- Develop trade ideas and support day-to-day portfolio management
- Contribute to the ESG strategy of global funds (investment cases, marketing input, ESG positioning/reporting)
- Support the implementation of the ESG philosophy within the investment process
- Develop/enhance ad-hoc tools for relative value and trade idea generation
- Participate in team meetings, providing ad-hoc macro or sector research
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in portfolio management and/or credit (IG/HY, EM/DM)
- Strong understanding of credit markets and portfolio management processes
- Experience working with analyst teams and participating in issuer/sector reviews
- Highly organised, reliable, diligent approach
- Strong English and German communication skills
- High integrity and ability to operate within a regulated environment (incl. SM&CR Conduct Rules)
