About the Role
This role sits at the intersection of portfolio management, trading, and investment operations, helping ensure that investment ideas are accurately and efficiently implemented across fixed income, credit, and multi-asset portfolios.

You'll work closely with Portfolio Managers and internal stakeholders to help translate investment decisions into market activity, manage portfolio exposures, and support strong execution outcomes across a range of asset classes.
What You'll Be Doing

Trade Execution & Portfolio Implementation

• Execute trades across fixed income, credit, and multi-asset portfolios through approved brokers and electronic trading platforms
• Work with Portfolio Managers to implement investment strategies and portfolio changes
• Manage day-to-day order flow and ensure trades are executed efficiently and in line with best execution standards
• Support accurate trade capture, allocation, and settlement across internal systems
• Monitor execution quality and contribute to continuous improvement in trading processes

Exposure & Portfolio Management

• Assist in managing portfolio exposures across rates, credit, and FX markets
• Ensure portfolios remain aligned with investment guidelines and hedging requirements
• Support cash and liquidity positioning across portfolios
• Help identify and escalate any portfolio, market, or operational risks

Market Insight & Stakeholder Support

• Provide timely market updates and execution insights to Portfolio Managers and investment teams
• Work closely with internal teams across investment, operations, and risk functions
• Build strong relationships with brokers and counterparties to support liquidity and execution quality
• Stay across key developments in fixed income, credit, and global macro markets

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years' experience in trading, portfolio implementation, investment operations, or dealing roles
• Strong understanding of fixed income markets, with exposure to credit and/or rates
• Experience working with FX hedging and/or derivatives (futures, swaps preferred)
• Familiarity with portfolio management or execution platforms (e.g. Charles River or similar)
• Good understanding of trade lifecycle processes and best execution principles
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple trades and priorities in real time
• Clear communicator who can work effectively with Portfolio Managers and wider investment teams
• Degree in Finance, Economics, Commerce or related discipline (CFA/FRM/ACI beneficial)
