Description

The Role

The Mid Office Operations Analyst will support the investment team in managing and overseeing multi-asset portfolios across public and private markets. The role focuses on portfolio operations, reporting, governance, system enhancement, and analytical support to ensure data integrity, operational efficiency, and effective investment decision-making.

1. Bloomberg & Portfolio Operations Management

1. Co-ownership of Bloomberg portfolio management and data management processes.
2. Manage portfolio uploads and maintenance across portfolio systems.
3. Perform monthly portfolio reconciliations.
4. Maintain equity trackers, investment exposure trackers, and performance monitoring tools.
5. Support MREP, Equity Trackers and other public portfolio tracking processes.
6. Develop and maintain investment dashboards and management information systems.
7. Produce macroeconomic and market monitoring views for investment teams.
8. Ensure accuracy and completeness of portfolio data across all systems.

2. Investment Portfolio Reporting

1. Prepare periodic investment reports for internal stakeholders and management.
2. Produce portfolio performance, attribution, exposure, and risk reporting.
3. Coordinate reporting requirements across asset classes.
4. Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting activities.
5. Enhance reporting processes through automation and standardization.
6. Manage ad-hoc reporting requests from investment and management teams.

3. Change Management & Technology Enablement

1. Source and support implementation of new portfolio management systems.
2. Participate in system upgrades, testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
3. Evaluate AI tools and software solutions to improve operational efficiency.
4. Document business requirements and operational workflows.
5. Work with vendors and internal stakeholders during implementation projects.
6. Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual processes and operational risk.

4. Finance Governance & Controls

1. Monitor operational controls and governance frameworks.
2. Maintain proper documentation for investment products and transactions.
3. Ensure investment data consistency across finance and investment systems.
4. Support NAV reviews, valuation checks, and transaction validation processes.
5. Identify and escalate operational risks and control gaps.

5. Investment & Operational Analysis

1. Assist in portfolio analysis across multiple asset classes.
2. Review and analyse bank charges, custody fees, and transaction costs.
3. Support investment teams with portfolio analytics and insights.
4. Prepare ad-hoc analysis on portfolio performance, exposures, and trends.
5. Assist with benchmarking and peer comparisons for Funds and Bank managed Discretionary Mandates.
