Description
Position DescriptionWe are seeking an investment professional (Associate to Director) to join our Infrastructure Investment team in Hong Kong or Singapore, supporting the sourcing, evaluation, execution, and portfolio management of infrastructure investments across Asia Pacific (APAC). The role will focus on opportunities in digital infrastructure, energy and energy transition, transportation & logistics, utilities, and other infrastructure sectors.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior investment professionals and portfolio company management teams across the full investment lifecycle, including origination, due diligence, transaction execution, financing, portfolio management, and investor reporting. The level and scope of responsibilities will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and track record.
Capital Partners is the alternative investment management business of CITIC Securities International (CSI), managing assets across private equity, private credit, transportation and real assets strategies throughout Asia Pacific.
Key Areas of Responsibilities
- Support and/or lead the sourcing, evaluation, execution, and portfolio management of infrastructure investments across Asia Pacific.
- Identify and assess investment opportunities across digital infrastructure, energy and energy transition, transportation & logistics, utilities, and other infrastructure sectors.
- Conduct industry, market, and company research to develop investment theses and identify attractive investment opportunities.
- Build, review, and maintain financial models, valuation analyses, and investment return assessments.
- Support and progressively lead transaction execution, including due diligence, financial analysis, financing, negotiations, and investment committee processes.
- Evaluate a broad range of transaction structures, including acquisitions, growth investments, joint ventures, carve-outs, and greenfield/brownfield developments.
- Support portfolio management and value-creation initiatives, including performance monitoring, strategic planning, refinancing, M&A activities, and exit preparation.
- Contribute to fundraising, investor relations, valuation, and limited partner reporting activities.
- Collaborate with portfolio company management teams, advisors, lenders, and other stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions.
- For more experienced candidates, lead transaction workstreams, manage key stakeholder relationships, and mentor junior team members.
Requirements
- Degree holder with 2-10 years of relevant experience in infrastructure investing, private equity, sovereign wealth funds, investment banking, project finance, corporate finance, or related fields.
- Experience in infrastructure, real assets, digital infrastructure, energy transition, transportation, utilities, or related sectors is preferred.
- Strong financial modelling and valuation skills, including DCF, IRR, MOIC, project finance modelling, and capital structure analysis.
- Proven ability to evaluate investments, conduct due diligence, and develop clear investment recommendations.
- Experience working on cross-border transactions and managing multiple stakeholders across different jurisdictions is advantageous.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and transaction execution capabilities.
- Excellent written and spoken English; Mandarin proficiency is advantageous
- High integrity, strong ownership mindset, and ability to work effectively in a lean, fast-paced, and collaborative environment with regional travel as required.
