Description

A leading asset manager seeks an Equity Portfolio Manager to manage equity investment portfolio, to lead client engagement and business development, as well as to oversee traders and junior analysts on daily tasks.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead the end-to-end management of equity portfolios (segregated mandates and public funds) across long-only, absolute return, and multi-asset strategies, with full ownership of performance outcomes
2. Define and execute tactical asset allocation, sector rotation, and stock selection strategies in alignment with the firm's investment philosophy and risk framework
3. Generate independent, high-conviction investment ideas through rigorous fundamental research, on-site company visits, and disciplined due diligence processes
4. Uphold strict adherence to internal policies, client mandates, SFC regulatory standards, and public fund operational requirements
5. Spearhead the development of client-facing materials, including pitch decks, market commentaries, and product positioning strategies across institutional and retail segments
6. Act as a key representative of the firm in marketing initiatives, fundraising activities, and product development efforts
7. Drive fund launch initiatives, including product structuring, fee design, cost analysis, and articulation of investment strategy
8. Own client communication strategy by delivering timely performance reporting, market updates, and bespoke insights
9. Direct trading activities and execution oversight to ensure best execution practices and full compliance with dealing policies
10. Lead, mentor, and develop junior analysts and support staff, instilling a culture of analytical excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement
11. Strengthen team capabilities in company research, financial modelling, and risk monitoring

Requirements:

1. Master's degree or above (relevant disciplines preferred) with full eligibility under SFC requirements for public fund managers
2. Strong risk management discipline, compliance awareness, and resilience in high-pressure environments
3. Minimum 8 years of experience in public fund investment and research, with a well-established and independent investment decision-making framework
4. At least 3 years of robust, publicly verifiable track record, demonstrating consistent performance, disciplined drawdown control, and full auditability with no material risk or compliance breaches
5. Proven experience managing insurance mandates or absolute return strategies
6. Hands-on exposure to offshore equity research and cross-border portfolio allocation is highly advantageous
7. Demonstrated expertise in Macroeconomic analysis and sector allocation, dynamic position sizing and portfolio construction, portfolio rebalancing and performance attribution and investment reporting and communication
8. Consistent focus on delivering sustainable, risk-adjusted returns and long-term capital growth
