Equity Portfolio Manager, Taiwan based - International asset manager

Our client is a leading international asset manager with a strong and growing presence in Asia. As part of their continued expansion, they are seeking an experienced Taiwan Equity Portfolio Manager to support their investment platform
In this role, you will take ownership of Taiwan equity portfolios and play a key role in delivering consistent investment performance, contributing investment ideas across regional strategies, and supporting client engagement in Taiwan.

What you'll do

• Manage Taiwan equity portfolios with a focus on absolute return and alpha generation strategies
• Deliver investment performance in line with or exceeding portfolio objectives and benchmarks
• Ensure portfolios are managed according to established investment processes, client requirements, and risk profiles
• Provide market outlook, portfolio updates, and investment insights to clients in Taiwan
• Generate and contribute investment ideas across Taiwan, Asia, and emerging market equity strategies
• Partner with the institutional sales team to support mandate wins and business development efforts
• Maintain comprehensive stock coverage, including ESG assessments within the investment universe
• Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies at all times
• Undertake ongoing professional training to meet regulatory and competency standards

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Business, or related disciplines
• CFA or advanced degree is preferred
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Taiwan equity research or portfolio management
• Proven track record in managing Taiwan equity portfolios or mandates with strong performance delivery
• Strong understanding of Taiwan equity markets and investment landscape
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Mandarin and English
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Relevant certifications such as Senior Securities Broker or Securities Investment Trust and Consulting Broker
