Description
OverviewWe are seeking a driven professional to join our Dublin-based Investment Team as Junior Emerging Markets Fixed Income Analyst / Associate Portfolio Manager. You will have a rare and attractive opportunity to play an integral part in the continued growth of FAMI's investment capabilities. You will work closely with senior professionals in a dynamic, international environment.
What you'll be doing
Key esponsabilities will be:
- Support the management of Emerging Markets fixed income portfolios under the supervision of senior portfolio managers
- Perform fundamental macroeconomic and credit analysis on sovereign credit issuers and contribute to weekly deep dive sovereign credit research reviews
- Monitor economic developments, central bank policies and geopolitical events
- Participate actively in the internal debate on global markets and contribute to trade generation and investment decisions
- Develop and maintain analytical models and investment tools to improve portfolio construction and risk management
- Prepare investment notes and presentations for internal stakeholders
Who we are looking for
If you want to turn your passion into a career and you have the following characteristics, we are waiting for you:
- 2-5 years of experience in asset management, investment research, banking
- Master's degree in finance or economics. CFA designation (or progress towards it) is highly desirable
- Previous exposure to fixed income markets is preferable, but recent graduates will be considered
- Strong knowledge of macroeconomics and FI fundamentals. Quantitative and analytical mindset
- Strong understanding of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) integration in fixed income
- Excel skills are mandatory; Some experience with financial programming or Bloomberg is a plus
- Ability to demonstrate a disciplined and robust approach to investment analysis
- Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of Italian would be considered an advantage
