Description
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Global R2R Operations General Ledger Controllership team at Marsh McLennan. This role will be based in Urbandale. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.As a Staff Account II, you will work in a fast-paced environment within a company that upholds strong values, taking ownership of financials and being deeply involved in the business operations. You will have the opportunity to lead change through exceptional financial management while collaborating with a team of top-notch professionals and stakeholders.
We will count on you to:
- Prepare monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Prepare, review and/or approve journal entries
- Assist in the monthly/quarterly reporting requirements
- Analyze opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies
- Perform other duties as assigned
What you need to have:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related fields
- 3+ years of accounting related experience
- Strong communication/interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with both stakeholders and colleagues in a fast-moving professional team environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications including advanced Excel knowledge
- Ability to manage your work efficiently
- Strong financial and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail
