About the Job:
1620 Investment Advisors, a growing independent Registered Investment Advisor based in Plymouth, MA, with over $230 million in AUM, is seeking a Portfolio Manager or Analyst to join their investment team. The target base salary range for this role is $100,000 to $200,000 based on experience and qualifications. Preferred candidates will have at least 5 years of direct investment management experience and be a CFA charter holder/candidate or have a relevant advanced degree. Experience analyzing companies is expected, preferably in the healthcare sector.
Responsibilities:
-Work within a system based on quantitative screening tools, risk control, and fundamental overlay analysis
-Manage multi-asset client portfolios to their unique risk/return parameters. Exceptional client service and communication are paramount.
-Develop and execute strategic and tactical portfolio plans to meet clients' long-term objectives.
-Assist in business development initiatives. Strong communication skills and ability to speak in front of small groups is desired.
-Contribute to the research process with a focus on primary assigned sectors/industries.
-Maintain competency across multiple asset classes (fixed income, alternative strategies) with an understanding of how various market forces and risk factors affect portfolio construction.
-May participate in periodic analysis of mutual funds, or exchange traded funds (ETFs) to supplement portfolio construction.
-Working knowledge of the fixed income markets and the role they play in portfolios.
Requirements
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field. Master’s degree, CFA/CFP designation, or existing progress towards a CFA/CFP designation is preferred.
-5+ years of experience in investment research and client portfolio management
-Strong knowledge of global markets, economics, and portfolio construction
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Ability to work in a team environment and work within a structured investment process is key
