Description
DERE BayWa r.e. AGWe're looking for a highly organised and proactive investment professional or process professional to drive and coordinate our Investment Meeting cycles - the cornerstone of our investment decision-making process - which ensures new renewable energy projects are developed and constructed, supporting the wider energy transition. This role ensures that investment proposals are well-prepared, meetings are efficiently run, and governance standards are upheld throughout and the data foundations for insightful analysis is provided. This is a challenging role for people looking to improve decision making on board level.
You'll work closely with executives, project teams, and analysts to ensure a smooth, transparent, and well-documented investment process and decision making from proposal to post-meeting follow-up. The role is based at our Munich headquarters
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and run Investment Committee cycles
- Explain and enforce templates and required materials, checklist , ensure completeness and soundness of the requests, and required materials.
- Support colleagues preparing analyses and information on the Investment Requests to ensure greater data driven decision making, while developing (or building on) a good understanding of renewable energy projects
- Take detailed minutes during the meetings; track decisions, approvals and actions. Manage stakeholder follow-ups to ensure our renewable energy pipeline evolves and increases in value as intended.
- Conduct post-meeting governance checks to make sure our records meet internal standards.
- Continuously refine KPIs, templates, checklists and workflows to improve efficiency and transparency. Coordinate, document and proactively communicate regular process reviews and updates
- Maintain the Investment Committee archive and dashboards for auditability and easy access to historical records.
- Based on interest and skillset: Develop and own dashboards to inform the organization on the investment cycle and the track record.
What you bring
- Strong organizational, stakeholder management and communication skills in English, with an eye for detail and consistency.
- Comfortable with managing multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment, creating clarity and structure quickly.
- Experience in project coordination, investment operations or governance support - preferably in finance, infrastructure or renewable energy.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft collaboration/workflow tools (Teams, SharePoint, Planner) - experience with developing dashboards a plus (PowerBI)
- Proactive ownership mentality, process-improvement focused, experience in formal record-keeping is a plus.
- Collaborative, inclusive approach with appreciation for diverse perspectives.
- Degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, Economics, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
- 3-5 years of professional experience in an investment, finance, project management, or corporate governance role - ideally within an organization that involves structured decision-making and cross-functional collaboration.
- Project management or governance-related certifications are an advantage but not required.
