Description
Our client is a well‑established investment organization operating across both public and private markets, with a strong presence in Asia and an expanding international footprint. The firm manages a diversified multi‑asset platform, bringing together several specialized investment teams with deep expertise across traditional and alternative strategies. The organization is known for its institutional‑grade governance, disciplined investment approach, and a track record of partnering with sophisticated investors including pension funds, sovereign institutions, and family offices. Its structure allows each investment unit to retain independence over research and portfolio construction, while benefiting from shared resources, a strong capital base, and a collaborative operating model.
With a focus on long‑term value creation, the firm provides access to a broad suite of capabilities - spanning private markets, credit, equities, and multi‑strategy solutions - and is actively building stronger connectivity across key regional markets. The group's investment professionals combine global perspectives with local insights, positioning the firm as a trusted partner for investors seeking differentiated opportunities and thoughtful risk management.
Our client is seeking an entrepreneurial, senior professional to drive investor coverage and fundraising efforts across Southeast Asia. This role is ideal for a seasoned fundraiser who excels at building long‑term institutional and family office relationships and can navigate sophisticated private markets strategies. You will partner closely with senior leadership across the organisation and affiliated investment entities to originate mandates, strengthen key relationships, and deliver end‑to‑end client engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the sales and investor solutions strategy for Southeast Asia, including market segmentation, pipeline build‑out and key account planning.
- Drive AUM growth by originating, pitching, and securing new investment mandates while expanding strategic relationships with priority institutional and family office clients.
- Tailor and deliver pitches across private equity and private credit strategies (e.g., buyouts, growth, credit, secondaries, co‑investments), highlighting risk‑adjusted performance and portfolio relevance.
- Lead full‑cycle client coverage and sales execution, coordinating with internal stakeholders spanning investment, product, legal/compliance, operations and affiliated asset management teams to ensure a seamless client experience.
- Provide market‑specific insights on Southeast Asia investors to guide product development, positioning, and marketing initiatives.
- Represent the organisation at industry conferences, seminars and external events to elevate market visibility and generate qualified leads.
- Oversee the development of high‑quality client and marketing materials, maintaining strong CRM discipline with accurate tracking of client data, activities and pipeline updates.
- Deliver market intelligence on Southeast Asia allocator trends, capital flows and competitive dynamics to inform business strategy.
- At least 15 years of experience within a principal investment firm, asset manager, or leading financial institution, with a focus on institutional and family office clients in Southeast Asia. Exceptional candidates with a strong institutional fundraising track record may be considered for Managing Director level.
- Proven track record of raising capital, closing mandates and managing deep, active relationships with CIOs and senior decision‑makers at Tier‑1 institutions and leading regional family offices.
- Strong expertise across private markets and alternative investments - including private equity, private credit, derivatives and structured products - with a clear understanding of capital markets trends and competitive positioning.
- Strategic, commercial and data‑driven, with the ability to translate client and market insights into actionable growth plans and account strategies.
- Highly effective communicator and influencer, able to engage senior external stakeholders as well as internal teams across investment, product, legal/compliance and operations.
- Entrepreneurial, hands‑on operator who thrives in a dynamic, growth‑oriented environment and manages multiple high‑stakes workstreams simultaneously.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related field.
