Description

We are representing a global hedge fund that is looking to build out its fundamental equity platform in Asia. The firm is seeking an experienced fundamental equity investor to run capital and help establish a scalable presence in the region. The role can be based in either Singapore or Hong Kong.

Key Requirements

• Minimum 8 years' experience in fundamental equity investing within a hedge fund
• At least 1-2 years of managing a sleeve of capital or equivalent risk ownership
• Regional expertise in one of the following markets Japan, China/HK, Korea or India with deep sector specialism
• Proven track record of consistent alpha generation with strong risk management discipline
• Strong understanding of regional markets corporate structures regulation and market micro-structure
• Ability to operate within a structured investment and risk framework
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ambition to build and scale a long term book of business

Responsibilities

• Full ownership of idea generation fundamental research and portfolio construction
• Independent management of a trading book including position sizing risk management and draw-down control
• Drive alpha through disciplined processes fundamental insights and deep sector knowledge
• Collaborate closely with analysts and other portfolio managers to share insights and best practices
• Contribute to the development and growth of the firm's fundamental equity presence in Asia
