DescriptionOur client-a global consulting firm known for helping organizations solve complex business challenges-is expanding its technical accounting and financial reporting practice. With a strong reputation for delivering innovative solutions and trusted advisory services, the firm partners with companies across industries to strengthen financial operations, reporting, and strategic decision-making.
The Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting Senior Manager will play a key leadership role in advising clients on complex accounting matters, SEC reporting, and financial transformation initiatives. This position partners directly with client executives, leads engagement teams, and develops practical solutions to address technical accounting challenges while helping organizations enhance the effectiveness of their financial reporting processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Advise clients on complex technical accounting matters under US GAAP and/or IFRS and prepare accounting position papers and related documentation
• Lead financial reporting initiatives including financial close, consolidations, and preparation of financial statements
• Support SEC reporting and public registration efforts, including S-1, S-3, and S-4 filings and public company readiness initiatives
• Guide clients through implementation of new accounting standards (e.g., revenue recognition, lease accounting, CECL), including transition and remediation efforts
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes across order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, hire-to-retire, and record-to-report cycles
• Analyze complex financial data, evaluate business issues, and deliver strategic recommendations to senior client stakeholders
• Manage engagement teams, oversee project plans and deliverables, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
• Build strong client relationships, mentor team members, and contribute to business development activities including proposals and new client opportunities
Requirements
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
• 7+ years of relevant experience across consulting, financial reporting, technical accounting, internal audit, or assurance
• Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS and SEC reporting requirements
• Background in public company readiness and regulatory reporting is strongly preferred
• Proven ability to lead client engagements, manage teams, and deliver complex projects
• Demonstrated success building client relationships and supporting business development initiatives
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with Visio and Access a plus
• CPA license strongly preferred
