Finance Manager

We're looking for a Finance Manager to take ownership of financial reporting and insight for Supply Chain direct costs within a fast-growing, dynamic business. This role partners closely with Supply Chain and operational teams, but prior supply chain experience isn't essential. Instead, we're seeking a strong finance professional who brings rigorous management accounting, sharp commercial insight, and confident business partnering to a critical area of the organisation.

This is a high-impact role that will help shape how costs are managed, forecasts are built, and strategic decisions are supported as the business continues to scale.

Responsibilities:

1. Own financial reporting for Supply Chain direct costs, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and relevance.
2. Partner with Supply Chain, Commercial Finance, and external logistics partners to challenge performance against budgets and forecasts, supporting effective decision-making.
3. Lead forecasting cycles, ensuring key cost drivers, seasonality, and operational inputs are accurately reflected.
4. Design and deliver monthly management accounts, alongside weekly and monthly performance reporting.
5. Provide clear financial analysis and commentary, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
6. Develop and maintain KPIs to track performance and profitability across the Supply Chain cost base.
7. Drive continuous improvement across processes, data models, and automation to support business growth.
8. Support balance sheet integrity and lead external audit queries for your area.
9. Manage and mentor a team of junior accountants, fostering development and high performance.

Requirements:

1. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification, with strong management accounting experience.
2. Proven experience in finance roles within high-growth, fast-paced environments (e-commerce, retail, FMCG, or similar).
3. Strong expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
4. Advanced Microsoft Office skills and experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP).
5. Working knowledge of BI tools (Looker, Power BI, Tableau) and exposure to SQL or Python.
6. Confident business partnering skills, with the ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders.
7. Experience managing and developing finance professionals.
8. A commercial mindset, balancing strategic objectives with operational delivery.
9. Comfortable operating in ambiguity; proactive, hands-on, and solutions-focused.
