Morgan McKinley, Northern Home Counties is proud to be supporting a successful and growing manufacturing business based in Kettering, Northamptonshire.

The business is seeking an experienced hands on Finance Manager to take full ownership of the accounting and reporting function during an exciting period of transition and growth.

The role offers 2-3 days per week with flexibility and potential to develop further, making it an ideal opportunity for someone seeking part-time stability or semi-retirement. The successful candidate will work closely with the senior leadership team and play a key role in supporting strategic decision making.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

* Manage day-to-day accounting operations using Sage 200 (preferred) or other Sage systems

* Prepare monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and financial reports

* Oversee bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and cash management

* Manage stock accounting and ensure accurate valuation and reporting of inventory

* Provide financial insight, identify trends, and support operational decision-making

* Liaise with the parent company for consolidated reporting and compliance

* Support the annual audit process and maintain strong financial controls

* Take a hands-on approach across all aspects of the finance function, from transactional work to reporting

Person Specification:

* QBE, Part-Qualified, or Qualified Accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA)

* Strong background in manufacturing or product-based environments

* Experienced user of Sage 200 or similar Sage platforms

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate insights clearly to management

* Hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to work independently

* Flexible and adaptable approach, with excellent attention to detail

* Available for an immediate or short-notice start
