As a member of the Money Market and Stable Value team you will be an integral part of the portfolio management team, contributing to portfolio construction and trading decisions. Approximately 50% of the job responsibilities will be in support of Stable Value (reporting, investment guidelines, contracts, compliance, liquidity management, etc.)
Responsibilities
Articulate and maintain a robust and consistent investment process in managing the portfolios.
Assist with a wide variety of monthly and quarterly reports/projects to internal and external contacts including clients, consultants, and vendors.
Work with Portfolio Manager in implementing the portfolio strategy and process.
Collaborate with the centralized research team and the global resources within Columbia Threadneedle to generate investment ideas and maintain a list of analyst-preferred investment securities.
Support Stable Value Team with day-to-day liquidity needs of client accounts.
Anticipate future cash needs and plan any asset liquidation accordingly.
Contact stable value wrap providers to seek permission and implement plans for any contract withdrawals.
Responsibility for portfolio monitoring (includes news flow, research, conference calls, modeling, etc.) and compliance (sizing of positions, allocation to maintain proper diversification, making sure portfolios maintain proper risk parameters, etc.), with the opportunity to increase accountability for investment performance and client communications.

Qualifications
Ability to work and contribute effectively both as a team player and individually. Proven skills in using or quickly learning to use new tools such as Microsoft Excel, Bloomberg, Aladdin or other analytical systems. Ability to synthesize information in a timely manner and reach a firm conclusion. Ability to interact and communicate effectively with external broker dealers in striving for best execution and pricing for our clients. Achievement or progress towards a CFA is relevant though not required.

Base Pay Salary
The estimated base salary for this role is $115,000- $135,000 / year. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role.
