About the job

You deliver on core-satellite Equity mandates, in close collaboration with the Managing Director Equities and the Research Analyst. Besides manager selection you make efficient and deliberate use of (smart) beta and factor-based ETF products to deliver on the performance targets for the clients. For active mandates this involves integrating Responsible Investing while striving for outperformance in a risk-controlled manner with the best interest of the client in mind. Anthos has a flat organisation model, you will report directly into the Head of Investment Department, who is a member of the Management Team.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement a core passive / active satellite equity strategy.
• Optimize and construct equity portfolios.
• Manage the equity fund of fund portfolio to keep the tracking error within budget as well as maintaining the desired factor exposures, e.g. regional, style, and ESG factors.
• Execute a disciplined and systematic process to identify new opportunities, prioritise research and document findings.
• Perform due diligence on investment managers and funds - resulting in a comprehensive, succinct due diligence memo and conduct regular monitoring meetings.
• Collaborate with other asset class specialists to increase cross fertilisation.
• Enhance the Responsible Investing strategy for the Equities asset class to make it more specific to each underlying investment strategy.
• Effectively manage client relationships; Reporting results monthly and regularly discuss performance, strategy and outlook.

Qualifications

• A master's degree in quantitative studies (e.g. Mathematics, Econometry or comparable) or computer science preferably complemented with a CFA/VBA.
• At least 5 years relevant work experience in equity portfolio management.
• Proven experience in portfolio optimisation analyses.
• Experience in designing, implementing, and monitoring equity mandates, including overlay strategies and managing a tracking error budget.
• Ability to present your views in a positive, constructive manner within the context of the investment strategy and client needs.
• Highly skilled in ETF portfolio management, index construction, or quantitative research.
• Motivated to contribute to the development of a culture that encourages open and constructive dialogue and promotes the exchange of ideas and information. You are willing to challenge and be challenged.
